The number three was sacred to the ancient Celts, as their Mother Goddess had a triple aspect of Maiden, Mother and Crone, represented by the Triscele (Triskell) symbol, which has been found on the helmets of ancient warrior kings or queens. Today, some regard it as a Trinity symbol
